This place is located inside the fairgrounds which you get in for free, nice and easy with plenty of parking. You can not beat the prices and delicious food here, it's a must try if you're in the area! Breakfast was really good, plenty too so make sure you're hungry for these very generous portions! The staff is super friendly, very hard working and multitasking and getting it all done especially at a busy spot. Self serve coffee, a good amount of booth space too so keep an eye out for those seats.

Oh my goodness, the food was so delicious and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast and lunch all day - you can't go wrong! We had both...pancakes were fluffy, eggs cooked perfectly, street tacos and carnitas burrito were authentic. Very modest and clean setting with a cool history relating to horse racing. Parking was wide open too. We'll be back!

Been to this hometown cafe twice. First time tried the tacos and loved the carnitas. Second time had the carnitas buritto. My fried had the meat lovers omelette and my husband had the Stable omelette. They we cooked exactly as wanted with extra crispy hashbrowns. The owners and employees are so nice and helpfull with making what you want. We will be going back soon-need to try more of their food. Super clean place, good pricing and lots of parking. Try it out!

Once I saw Roberta Gonzales post on facebook I suggested to my hubby we should check it out. It was wonderful! Reminder: tell guard you are headed to cafe. Hours: 7am-1pm All the times I have been to the Alameda County fairgrounds I never knew this was there. Growing up in San Leandro, CA as kids we were treated to a meal at The Fifth Wheel diner. The Stable Cafe has this kind of atmosphere. Hearty portions that bring back memories. Our first visit was Friday. I had chiliquiles with green sausage. My hubby linguisa & eggs. Today, Oct. 20th out at appointments so stopped in again. Me, fresh hot blueberry pancakes (needed those carbs), & hubby pancake plate with fresh sasage patties. If you are looking for a new adventure, check this place out. We love to sit at the counter. We witnessed friends surprised to ser each other. It was like old home week. Staff is super nice too. So tip them well, please! See you at the food races soon.

Stable Cafe has been reopened under new ownership and is great. Located inside the fairgrounds at the far end of the road straight down from the Pleasanton Driving Range. Tell the gate guard "you are going to the Stable Cafe" so you won't be charged for parking. Open for breakfast and lunch. The chorizo and eggs are my favorite. The French Toast and the blueberry pancakes are excellent.

First time I've visited Stable in Pleasanton. I'll be brief, you've gotta check this place out. Friendly service, plenty of parking, freshly cooked breakfast, great pricing compared to other restuarants in the area. Just try it, I'm sure you'll feel the same as I do!

Mortified that my $20 bill turned into a $10, &I must now carry a *gasp* tab until morning, this amazing, 1970’s/80’s blast in the present will have everyone missing their hometown, if it isn’t California, but DO NOT FORGET THEY ARE CASH ONLY!!! Opened in 1991, within the Alameda County Fairgrounds Premises itself, the one MA’AM food gifting happens from Tues-Sun, 6 a.m. till 10 a.m. Here you will encounter an entire cast of folks many had long thought let out to pasture 2 decades hence! Bring a smile, but not too smiley, be friendly, yet, ‘Couldya keep yer distance please, mister?’. The food is solid. This is not a gourmet food experience, this is a down-home, feeling safe and relaxed atmosphere that is quickly vanishing the world over. Hats off to the Stable Cafe at the country’s oldest race track!
